In a recent case, our client was charged with serious drug dealing allegations. The Crown Prosecution Service had used forensic and digital evidence as part of their case. They accused our client of playing a significant role in dealing drugs and argued that they should face a starting point sentence of 4 years and 6 months.

For their defence, we employed a leading expert to examine telephone evidence and built a case that clearly showed that our client was subjected to threats and violence and was therefore vulnerable.

The digital evidence presented in our case at the hearing played a pivotal role in persuading the judge that our client’s role was minimal, and that he was in fact pressured into drug dealing. The outcome was a community order sentence, much to our client’s, and family’s, relief.
