Firearms case

Two of our clients were arrested for allegedly making threats to kill with a firearm. The ‘incident’ was believed to have followed a dispute over drugs due to clients allegedly being high-level drug dealers. We represented them at the police station where this was denied.

Our clients were unfortunately remanded into custody for court and remained in prison throughout the prosecution. They both pleaded not guilty and a trial date was set. We forensically analysed the evidence, took detailed instructions from our clients, and traced and interviewed potential witnesses in support of their defence. After preparing witnesses statements, including a telephone recording, we presented this evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which significantly undermined their case and credibility of the complaint.

As a result, the case was discontinued prior to trial, and our clients were immediately release .

Both clients were extremely grateful for our hard work, one left a review showing how pleased they were with the outcome:

“Mackrell Marsh & Co, what can I say other than outstanding in all departments. Oliver Mackrell has been our family’s legal representation for over a decade, along with the rest of the team.

Oliver’s dedication, along with his knowledge and his support shown for not only the defendant, the defendant’s family throughout the case, shows that this is not just a “job” to Oliver, but a passion.

The whole legal team within the company are exceptional. My family and I will forever be grateful for the hard work and dedication provided. Without Oliver and the team our children could have been without a father for a very long time.”
