Why Do I Need to Make a Will?
Making a Will allows you to make financial provision for your partner and your family. If you do not make a Will, the law will decide who receives your assets in accordable with the intestacy rules. These unfortunately may not coincide with your own wishes.
If you die without leaving a Will, it means that your family or friends will have to deal with complicated matters when handling your estate.
It may, for example, mean that your spouse will have to share your estate with other members of the family.
If you would like to leave certain items or sums of money to family, friends or charities, you will be able to state this in your Will. Our Will writing solicitors will be able to offer advice about making a will and what you should include.
